Zooming up to Christmas

Another year is fast coming to a close.

We’ve all worked hard this year and we’re all looking forward to the Christmas break.

Christmas is traditionally a time for family and friends. A time to get together and enjoy good company and reflect on another year almost finished. A time to enjoy family and spoil each other without unnecessary consequences.

For most of us it will be a happy time – a time for great memories and even greater ambition for the years ahead.

Sadly though, we know from experience and the media that this Christmas will be a time of sadness for some due to the passing of friends and loved ones. Accidents and illness will mean that some of us don’t get to share completely in the spoils of Christmas or see in the New Year.

Sad as it is, these are just facts of life. None of us know when our time will come but what we can do is give the gift of certainty to those we love by making sure that we have our affairs in order. Our financial and personal arrangements need to be in good shape in the event that we do get the call.

As we get closer to Christmas we don’t want to think about unpleasant things or happenings – but what we need to do is act now and put things right so that as the festive season really ramps up, our personal circumstances in terms of our passing are far from our minds.

Act now and make sure that your Will is not only up to date but that it sets out what your wishes really are. Sorting out your Will is a gift for those left behind should unfortunate events occur – but only half the gift you really need to make. Having an up to date Enduring Power of Attorney is the icing on the cake.

So don’t leave your friends and loved ones in the lurch – act now and get things sorted. If you’ve been putting this off, then don’t put it off any longer.

You can sort all of this by a simple ‘phone call to Lauren De Vere. Lauren will arrange a time for you to come and see us to get you organised in time for Christmas.

You’ll be surprised not only as to how little this can all cost you, but the relief you will feel for having put things in place for your loved ones – perhaps the best Christmas present ever.
